DID YOU KNOW?

The year conditional sentencing came into effect (1996/97) the number of jail sentences dropped by 5%. The following year (1997/98) rates dropped another 9%, and in 2000/01 rates plummeted another 18%. 31% of conditional sentences over that time period were for a violent offence.

RE Pensions and Clifford Olsen

Article by: Joe Wamback
Toronto - One of the things I have learned is that no matter what I say to a reporter, they and their paper will choose to publish what they believe will sell papers.
I did say that Olsen is a citizen of Canada whether we like it or not and I am pleased that the system has kept him incarcerated for his crimes were so horrific and unforgiveable.

When asked if his pension should be held I said no, but, I also said that I would like it to be used to provide support for victims of crime,…and further that other assets should be seized and used as well.

For almost 11 years I have lobbied and fought for victims rights in Canada and can say that great advances have been made in those 11 years. I created a foundation that operates without salaries or fees of any kind and all funds collected are distributed to victims programs.
We have never received any funds from any provincial or federal government.
